Panel: Which industrial policy is crucial for EU market niche

On Wednesday, 20 April 2016, a panel “Which industrial policy is crucial for EU market niche – which public policy to use for support to cluster development” was organised in Belgrade. The panel was organised by Economic and Business Forum of the European Movement in Serbia, Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Working Group of the National Convent on the EU - Chapter 20 Enterprise and Industrial Policy.
The panelists were Zorica Marić (Cluster Development Consultant), Dragiša Mijačić (Institute for Territorial Economic Development - InTER), Ana Aleksić Mirić (Associate Professor, Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade), Aleksandar Gračanac (Manager of the Centre for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Serbian Chamber of Commerce).
Dragiša Mijačić, InTER's director presented the preliminary results of the “Analysis of the Programme for Support to Innovative Clusters in Serbia 2007-2015”, which was implemented within the support from OSF Think Tank Young Professional Development Programme.
The panel also included presentations of the examples of cluster development in the European Union. Possible directions for policy development were also discussed, as well as possible instruments for cluster development support in Serbia.
Panel was attended by 25 participants, representatives from clusters, faculties, non-governmental organizations and public administration.
