Project: °Center of Excellence for Civic Participation in Local and Regional Development in Serbia°

InTER, as the lead partner, in collaboration with the Ibar Valley Development Association (IDA) and the Local Action Group Srce Bačke, is launching the project °Center of Excellence for Civic Participation in Local and Regional Development in Serbia.° The project is funded by the EU Delegation through the EU Civil Society Facility for the Republic of Serbia 2023-2024.

The project’s goal is to enhance civic participation in the processes of planning, budgeting, monitoring, and implementing local and regional development in Serbia. Through a systematic approach, the project will analyze civic actors, their capacities, and relevant policies, empower them for active engagement in planning and overseeing public policies, and promote cooperation among various stakeholders in creating sustainable development conditions at the local and regional levels.

The project ‘s duration is four years, starting on 1 January 2025, with a total budget of €556,000.

It is expected that this project will lay the foundation for the long-term strengthening of civic participation in decision-making processes, contributing to more transparent and efficient development of local communities in Serbia.
