First meeting held of the Working Group for Development of Cross-Border Strategy for Utilization of the Begej Channel Tourism Potentials

111.jpg On Monday, June 16, 2014, the first meeting was organized in Timisoara of the Working Group for Development of Cross-Border Strategy for Utilization of the Begej Channel Tourism Potentials. The meeting was organized by the Agency for Socio-Economic Development of Timisoara (ADETIM), and it was also attended by the representatives of the Regional Centre for Socio-Economic development Banat, Regional Chamber of Commerce Zrenjanin, Public Water Management Company “Vode Vojvodine”, as well as experts from InTER and experts from the Romanian side.

At the meeting, the methodology for development of  joint cross-border strategy was discussed, and deadlines set for the implementation of the overall task .

Preparation of the cross-border Strategy for Utilization of the Begej Channel Tourism Potentials is implemented within the project Joint development of Romanian - Serbian Bega Channel tourism potential capitalization Study and promotion of cross - border foreground investments, jointly implemented by the Agency for Socio-Economic Development Timjisoara (ADETIM), Regional Centre for Socio-Economic development Banat and Regional Chamber of Commerce Zrenjanin and funded from the CBC Romania-Serbia Programme. InTER was contracted to provide technical assistance to the strategy development process.
