In cooperation with the Piva Nature Park and the Foca Tourism
Organization, the municipalities of Pluzine and Foca are launching a
cross-border cooperation project "Tourism, Adrenaline and Rafting
Adventure (T.A.R.A)" with the aim of developing and promoting the
cross-border area of the two municipalities as a unique tourist
destination for active tourism.
For almost 10 years, the Institute for Territorial Economic Development (InTER) has been involved in the development of cross-border cooperation between the Municipality of Pluzine and the Municipality of Foča, and through this project, in partnership with all stakeholders, it will continue to work on strengthening joint cooperation and developing active tourism in this area. .
The project aims to brand these two municipalities as a unique tourist destination for active holidays, as well as create joint tourism products to attract more tourists. The project will also work on improving tourism infrastructure and establishing mechanisms to increase security at tourist sites.
The target groups of the project are representatives of municipalities, local tourism organizations, sports and rescue clubs, travel agencies, journalists and bloggers, media.
The project implementation started on 1 December 2019 and it will last for two years, until the end of November 2021. The T.A.R.A project is funded by the European Union under the Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro Cross-Border Cooperation Programme.
