The Importance of Dialogue for Local Economic Development - The Example of Public-Private Partnership (PPP)

The Institute for Territorial Economic Development (InTER) in partnership with the Bečej Youth Association (BUM) is implementing the project The Importance of Dialogue for Local Economic Development - The Example of Public-Private Partnership (PPP). The goal of the project is to contribute to the development of local communities through the improvement of dialogue with public authorities at the local level. Specifically, the project aims to improve the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) at the local level to actively engage in dialogue with public authorities.

The project includes the following results:

Result 1. Strengthened capacities of CSOs in targeted local self-government units for dialogue with public authorities;
Result 2. Established dialogue between public authorities and CSOs in the field of PPP in targeted local self-government units in Serbia;
Result 3: Promoted importance of CSO involvement in decision-making processes in areas important for local economic development, with a special focus on PPP.

The project targets 6 municipalities in Serbia: Bečej, Opovo, Topola, Lazarevac, Bajina Bašta and Ljubovija and is implemented in the period from 1 October 2022 until 31 July 2023.

The project is supported by the Belgrade Open School (BOŠ), within the wider project "Dialogue of Change, Supporting Reforms through Cooperation between Civil Society Organizations and Public Authorities", financed by the EU Delegation in Serbia.
