Round table: Transparent and responsible implementation of PPP projects in Serbia

DSCN5426.JPG On 24 April 2019, the Institute for Territorial Economic Development (INTER) organized a round table In the Municipality of Topola, presenting the preliminary findings of the research "Transparent and responsible implementation of PPP projects in Serbia". At the event, three good practice examples for PPP project implementation were presented: the City of Pirot, and Becej and Topola municipalities. The audience was addressed by the President of the Municipal Assembly of Topola, Dragan Jovanovic, who presented the previous experience of the municipality in the field of PPP and emphasized the need for regionalization of projects. Edi Majstorovic, ono behalf of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SKGO), stressed that different areas and needs at the local level can be financed through the PPP model and pointed to the importance of transparency throughout the process. Sladjana Sredojevic, a consultant in PPP, talked about the importance of education, of both private and public sector.
